MixMaster Pro is your mentor, not your mixer: we analyze, explain, and guide so you stay in full control and make confident moves in your DAW.

Your Mix Intelligence Profile is the durable coaching context Maya builds on Studio+ (Studio / Studio+ / Teams): recurring mix patterns, mentoring preferences, and portfolio signals from your library, revisions, and references. Pro still gets mix-specific Maya on the report you open; long-term memory that learns your style and remembers across sessions starts on Studio and above.

Many tools score one bounce and move on. MixMaster Pro stores each analysis in your Mix Library, compares revisions on the same mix (Pro/Studio), reuses saved references (Pro/Studio), and gives Maya your bound report context on Pro+. On Studio, Maya also keeps a Mix Intelligence Profile so she learns your style and remembers across sessions - grounded in your real mixes and prefs, not a black-box taste model.

Each analysis stays in your Mix Library on your account. On the same mix, you can upload revisions and see version comparison (Pro/Studio). References you save can attach to later analyses (Pro/Studio). On Pro+, Maya uses the report for the mix you opened. On Studio, she also updates long-term memory so coaching gets sharper over time. A brand-new mix still gets a fresh analysis - the value is that past work remains available and revisions on the same song stay linked.

For the most accurate analysis: 1. Export your mix as an uncompressed WAV file (24-bit preferred). 2. Ensure your mix has proper headroom (peaks around -3dB to -6dB). 3. Don't apply mastering processing - we analyze your mix, not your master. 4. Make sure the entire song is included, including any silence at the beginning or end.

Absolutely! MixMaster Pro is trained on thousands of professional mixes across all genres - from hip-hop and electronic to rock, jazz, classical, and everything in between. Our AI adapts its recommendations based on the musical content it detects in your track.

Yes. MixMaster Pro is a web app that works in any modern browser - desktop, tablet, or phone. No download or installation required. Just open your browser and sign in. Voice mode with Maya and audio playback work on mobile too.

No. MixMaster Pro runs entirely in your browser. There's nothing to download, install, or update. Upload your mix from any device and get results in seconds. You can then apply the recommendations in whatever DAW you use.

The Mix Score is a technical evaluation of your mix's readiness for mastering and distribution, based on loudness, dynamics, and frequency balance. It's a guide to help you identify technical issues, not a judgment of your music's quality. Use it to track your improvements over time.

There are a few reasons why you might see slightly different mix scores even when uploading what seems to be the same track multiple times: AI Model Nuance: Our AI models, especially those that generate qualitative feedback, explanations, and creative recommendations, are designed to be quite sophisticated. Like a human engineer, they might pick up on subtle nuances or approach the "scoring" from a slightly different angle each time. While the core technical audio analysis (LUFS, peak, RMS, etc.) is highly consistent, the higher-level AI interpretation (like the mix score and its explanation, or the DAW recommendations) involves a degree of creative interpretation and language generation, which can introduce slight variability. Combined Scoring: The final mix score you see is a blend of both the purely technical audio analysis (which is very precise and consistent with deep machine learning) and the AI's more qualitative assessment. If there are minute differences in the AI's interpretation, it can lead to small fluctuations in the overall blended score. What to focus on: We recommend focusing on the actionable feedback, the detailed explanations, and the overall trends rather than small numerical differences in the score. The primary goal of MixMaster Pro is to provide concrete suggestions for improvement, and those insights should remain largely consistent and valuable even with minor score variations. Think of it like getting feedback from different human engineers - while they might agree on the core issues, their "score" or phrasing might differ slightly. The underlying problems and solutions are what truly matter.

LUFS (Loudness Units Full Scale) measures perceived loudness. We provide a target range suitable for most streaming platforms. If your LUFS reading is too high, your mix might be over-compressed. If it's too low, it might not be loud enough compared to commercial tracks. Our feedback will guide you on how to adjust it.

The Chains tab (Pro+) gives tailored processing-chain recommendations for your DAW and track type - so you can apply feedback with tools you already own. Uploading a DAW session file for implementation guidance is on the DAW tab (also Pro+).

Our analysis engine measures tonal balance, loudness, stereo width, phase, and related metrics on each bounce. Each report is stored in your Mix Library. When you upload revisions on the same mix (Pro/Studio) or attach saved references, you get comparison context - not because a new mix automatically inherits a hidden profile from unrelated past uploads. Use measurements alongside your ears and creative judgment.

Transient analysis examines the attack and decay characteristics of sounds in your mix - essentially how sharp or smooth your drums, plucks, and other percussive elements are. This helps identify if your mix has enough punch and clarity, or if transients are being over-compressed or lost in the mix.

Not yet. You can create stems in MixMaster Pro, but stem-by-stem analysis is not available right now. For analysis, upload your full mix. We'll share updates when stem analysis is supported.

Stem Insights (Todo sub-tab, Studio and above) shows how individual stems behave inside your full mix so you can spot balance issues fast. It highlights which layers feel over- or under-powered - diagnostic only, not downloadable stems. Lower plans can unlock it on a mix with Credits.

Use Stem Insight to target the exact layer, then make small, intentional moves: adjust that stem's level, EQ, or compression, and re-check the mix for balance. Focus on one stem at a time, A/B your changes, and re-run analysis after major revisions to confirm improvements.

The mix score is a weighted evaluation across multiple dimensions: loudness (LUFS, peak, RMS), dynamic range (LRA), frequency balance across sub-bass through highs, stereo imaging (separation and perceived width), transient quality (punch, attack, density), masking between competing elements, phase coherence, and headroom. It reflects technical readiness for mastering, not artistic quality. A score of 90 is the industry target benchmark shown in the app.

The EQ tab (Pro+) shows a professional spectrum analyzer from 20 Hz to 20 kHz on a logarithmic scale. It visualizes energy across your mix's frequency range - low-mid buildup, harsh upper-mids, missing air - alongside the checklist. The Issues tab (Studio+) has frequency-specific problem callouts. Lower plans can unlock either tab on a mix with Credits.

The DAW tab (Pro+) lets you upload a DAW session/project file for implementation guidance tied to your scored mix. Supported formats include Pro Tools session text, Logic Pro FCPXML, Ableton Live .als, Reaper .rpp, and session bundles. This is different from uploading a new audio revision - project structure, not a new bounce.

Maya is MixMaster Pro's Personal Mentor: an AI music production coach that uses your analysis report, version history, references, and client-review context so answers stay grounded in your track. Maya covers the full music production spectrum: mixing, mastering, composing, songwriting, lyrics, arrangement, music theory, sound design, and creative direction. - Pro+ (Pro, Studio, Studio+, Teams) get mix-specific guidance in typed chat and voice (included minutes: Pro 15, Studio 45, Studio+ / Teams 120). - Free users get platform chat (and 10 min Maya voice once) for account, navigation, and app help - not analysis-grounded music production mentoring. Open a saved mix from the Library and use Continue Improving / View Report to bind that analysis to Mentor, or start from Mix Analysis Studio when uploading a new file.

Yes. On Pro and above, Maya is a full music production mentor - lyrics, chord progressions, arrangement, melodies, writer's block, theory, and creative direction - in typed chat or voice, in any language. Free gets platform assistance only.

Yes on Pro and above - mastering workflows, limiter settings, LUFS targets, and whether a mix is ready for mastering. Free chat stays platform assistance (navigation / plans / product).

Maya supports any language. She automatically detects the language you type or speak and responds in that same language. You can switch languages mid-conversation and Maya will follow. Technical terms like LUFS, dB, and kHz stay in their universal form for clarity.

Tap the microphone icon in the Mentor chat panel to start a voice conversation with Maya. She listens to your spoken questions and responds with spoken audio in real time (Free gets platform assistance by voice; Pro+ can ground voice in your mix report the same way as typed chat). Included minutes: Free 10 once; Pro 15 / Studio 45 / Studio+ / Teams 120 per month. After included minutes, you can continue with 8 Credits per extra minute if you choose; voice stops at 0 Credits. Voice mode works in any language and you can switch freely between voice and text within the same conversation thread.

Yes. Drop or attach an audio file directly in the Maya chat. She'll guide you to choose what to do with it: analyze it as a new mix, use it as a reference for A/B comparison, compare it to the current mix, send it to an audio tool (stems, voice cleanup, restoration), or upload it as a new revision.

On Pro+, Maya handles the full spectrum of music production for your open mix - EQ/compression, arrangement, mastering readiness, reference compare, DAW setup, and more. On Free, stick to platform / account / navigation questions. Studio+ (Studio / Studio+ / Teams) also remembers your style across sessions (Maya memory).

Client Revisions (Customer Mix Review) lets you send clients a simple review link with a private access code. They hear your current mix revision on a waveform, leave timestamped comments and replies in a thread, and tap Finish review when they're done - without creating a MixMaster account. You read feedback on the Todo → Client Revisions sub-tab and can attach new revisions to the same review session. Included on Studio, Studio+, and Teams (fair use).

1. Open the mix analysis you want feedback on. 2. Use Send client review (or the client-review entry point in the analysis UI). 3. Create a session, copy the access code (shown once - store it safely), and send the link + code. From the modal you can use Email, WhatsApp, or Telegram, or copy the link and message to send any way you prefer. 4. When you upload a new revision, attach it to the same review so the client hears the latest bounce; earlier notes can be marked resolved for older versions. 5. If your client loses the code, open Send client review again and use Generate new code (copyable) - the new code is only shown once. 6. Close the review from your side when the round is done; clients can't add new comments on a closed review.

After your client taps Finish review, open the mix and go to Todo → Client Revisions (next to Action Items and Stem Insights). Read threaded waveform comments, reopen Send client review to regenerate a code or point the session at a new revision, and Close the round when done.

No. Clients open the review link, enter the access code, and start commenting immediately. They never see your analysis scores, checklist, or dashboard. They only see the audio waveform and the commenting thread.

Yes. When you create a review session, the modal offers one-tap buttons for Email, WhatsApp, and Telegram with a pre-filled message containing the link and access code. You can also copy the link and code manually to send however you prefer.

Credits are a shared balance for Standard tools, Professional modules, analysis overage, Maya voice past included minutes (8 Credits per extra minute), and Maya text past included messages (2 Credits per extra message). Free includes 300 Credits once at signup; paid plans include a monthly (or annual-cycle) allowance. Anyone can buy more anytime. Quote before charge; failed jobs refund; preview is free. Voice De-Noise is an AI-powered Audio Tool that removes background noise, electrical hum, room tone, and sibilance from vocal and dialogue recordings. It's ideal for: podcast episodes recorded in untreated rooms, voiceover takes with fan or AC noise, interview recordings from noisy environments, vocal tracks with mic bleed, and Zoom/remote recordings with inconsistent mic quality. Start with gentle noise reduction settings and increase gradually - heavy processing can introduce watery artifacts. Address hum removal first if both hiss and hum are present. Preview on headphones to catch subtle artifacts. For music vocals, process the dry take before adding reverb or delay in your DAW for the cleanest chain. Higher sample rate files (48 kHz+) preserve more detail during de-noising.

Audio Restoration isolates and cleans up instrument recordings by reducing bleed, room noise, and unwanted resonances. Supported source types include drums, bass, keys/piano, guitar, and other instruments. Use it for: drum close mics with cymbal bleed, bass recordings with kick bleed, piano takes with pedal noise, acoustic guitar with room ambience, live recordings with stage monitor bleed, or stems that carry residual artifacts.

Voice De-Noise is designed for human voice recordings (podcasts, voiceover, interviews, vocal tracks) and targets speech-specific noise like hiss, hum, and sibilance. Audio Restoration is designed for musical instruments (drums, bass, keys, guitar) and targets bleed, room noise, and unwanted resonances. Both share the same Credits pool and offer free preview before processing.

Stems are isolated layers of your mix - vocals, drums, bass, guitar, piano, and other instruments - separated by AI. Open the Stems tool, select a mix or upload a track, generate, then preview and download. Costs 30 Credits per successful split on paid plans (45 on Free).

Yes. Once generated, stems are fully downloadable and can be imported into any DAW. Common uses include remixing, sampling isolated elements, creating karaoke versions (vocal removal), diagnosing balance issues by soloing individual layers, and preparing a cappella or instrumental versions.

Yes! Pro and above can upload revised versions and compare them side-by-side to track mixing progress. Version comparison shows score changes, checklist improvements and regressions, and metric deltas across every dimension. Most analyses complete in under 60 seconds. Complex mixes or longer tracks may take up to 2-3 minutes. You'll receive real-time updates during the process.

Available on Pro and above. Upload or pick a saved reference and compare frequency balance, dynamics, stereo separation, perceived width, and more - with specific suggestions to close the gap to the reference.

On Pro+, revision comparison links versions on the same mix. You see which action items cleared, which regressed, and which measurements moved. Mix-specific Maya (Pro+) can use that revision history on the open mix; Studio and above also keep longer-term memory across sessions.

References you save stay in your library on your account. Attach them to an analysis for A/B comparison (Pro/Studio). When you upload new revisions on the same mix, you can compare against the same reference again and see whether tonal, loudness, and stereo gaps are closing - without re-uploading the reference file each time.

By design for iterative mixing. MixMaster Pro stores analyses in your Library, links revisions on the same mix (Pro/Studio), and keeps saved references on your account. Each new root analysis is still a fresh report on that bounce - the connection is through those workflows, not automatic cross-mix scoring from unrelated uploads.

While you can upload mastered tracks, MixMaster Pro is designed to analyze mixes before mastering. Mastered tracks may receive different feedback since they've already been processed for loudness and final polish. For best results, upload your unmastered mix.

Not yet. MixMaster Pro focuses on mixes in progress. Keep your mix bus chain (EQ, compression, saturation, glue) if it shapes balance or tone, but bypass final loudness tools like limiters/clippers/finalizer chains. Rule of thumb: if turning it off changes balance/tone/punch, keep it; if it mainly changes loudness, turn it off.

We recommend analyzing your mix at key stages: after your initial rough mix, after major revisions, and before sending to mastering. Many users analyze 2-3 versions per song to track their progress and ensure they're moving in the right direction.

All users can view their analysis in the web app and share a read-only mix score link. Studio+ (Studio / Studio+ / Teams) can use Client Revisions to send a private listening link for client waveform comments.

Typically: mix score consistently above 70-80, major frequency problems resolved, dynamics controlled but not crushed, elements have space, stereo intent matches the genre. On Pro+ you can also ask Maya whether the open mix is ready for mastering.

Absolutely. Your uploads are transmitted over HTTPS and stored securely. We never sell your music or use it to train public AI models. Analysis and Standard Audio Tools run on our infrastructure; when you run Professional modules / Workflow Builder jobs, audio may be processed by specialized third-party audio processors solely to fulfill that job. You can delete your files at any time from your Library.

Passwords are securely hashed using an industry-standard one-way algorithm with a unique salt per account. Your raw password is never stored or logged, and cannot be retrieved by anyone - including our team.

Yes. You can delete your account from the Account page at any time. This permanently removes your profile, analyses, support tickets, sessions, and cancels any active subscription. This action cannot be undone.

Mix reports stay in your Library forever. Source audio follows your plan (Free 90 days, Pro 12 months, Studio 24 months, Studio+ / Teams while under storage quota). Tool and stem outputs are shorter (Free 30 days, Pro 6 months, Studio 12 months). If you subscribed before the current plans, your Library may keep audio longer; the banner and per-file dates in Library are the ones that apply to you. We email you 30 days before audio is removed so you can download it. Pro can pin 10 files forever, Studio 50. Studio+ and Teams have no calendar delete; delete files to free storage. Mentor Chat is kept up to 90 days; activity logs 90 days; resolved support tickets are archived after 7 days.

All payments are processed by Paddle, a PCI DSS compliant payment provider. We never see, store, or have access to your credit card number. Paddle handles the entire checkout flow securely.

Subscriptions: new customers get a 7-day money-back guarantee on the first subscription payment only (Pro / Studio / Studio+ / Teams). After that window, subscription payments are non-refundable (cancel anytime to stop the next charge).
